The Charlotte Clergy Coalition for Justice is led by faith leaders from across our city's diverse religious traditions, united in their commitment to love, justice, and equity for all people in Charlotte and Mecklenburg County.

Rev. Glencie S. Rhedrick is a Womanist Theologian, Spiritual Care Strategist, and Community Transformation Consultant. She is founder of SpeakingintheKeyofWE™ and creator of the Sacred Care™ Framework, which advances healing, justice, belonging, and collective well-being through a womanist and Afrikan-centered lens. A longtime advocate for housing justice, educational equity, community wellness, and human dignity, she believes that justice is the sacred work of making all things well.

Representative Aisha O. Dew serves as a Democrat representing District 107 in the North Carolina House of Representatives. A consultant and community advocate, she brings legislative leadership and a deep commitment to justice and equity in Mecklenburg County to her role with the Coalition.

Rev. Dr. Rodney Sadler is a Bible scholar, Baptist minister, and justice advocate committed to creating a Charlotte where love, equity, and dignity are accessible to all. His work is rooted in the conviction that faith demands action on behalf of the most vulnerable.

Rev. Melissa McQueen-Simmons is a creative, empath, author, mystic, and Iraqi Veteran. She holds an M.Div. with an emphasis in Pastoral Care from Howard University School of Divinity and is ordained in the United Church of Christ. She serves as Spiritual Director and virtual pastor for Wholy Ground Spiritual Center and is committed to intentional, relationship-centered community.
