The Legal Roots of Resistance: October 15 at Union Seminary

FaithinPublicLife.png

Dear friends, this comes from Faith in Public Life, let us join them on October 15 for this important training at Union Presbyterian Seminary.

With your support and participation, Faith in Public Life has spent the past 2 years training over 200 clergy and community leaders to recognize and prevent violence targeted on the basis of race or religious identity.

As we prepare for the Republican National Convention in Charlotte next year, we know protest is an essential part of the democratic process. It is our mission to ensure that our people know how to exercise their rights while preventing Charlotte from turning into Charlottesville. Can you join us next week to prepare?

Knowing our rights for the RNC and every day is critical. We must also learn what we legally can, and cannot, do when public safety and national security are heightened concerns.

Please join us on October 15th at 6:30 at Union Presbyterian Seminary at 5141 Sharon Rd, Charlotte, NC 28210, for β€œThe Legal Roots of Resistance, RNC Preparation Bootcamp” a lecture and Q&A with renowned and award-winning civil rights and criminal defense attorney T. Greg Doucette to discuss how we can safely and effectively make our voices heard in resistance to bigotry, oppression, racism and hatred of the Trump Administration.

Register here to reserve your seat and your refreshments.
